1.1 ASSA ABLOY processes the personal data specified in this section 1.1 in order to fulfil our legitimate interest in providing you with the information you have requested:

1.2 ASSA ABLOY processes the personal data set out in this section 1.2 in order to fulfil our legitimate interest in responding to your messages when you communicate with us:

1.3 ASSA ABLOY processes the personal data referred to in this section 1.3 in order to send you press releases based on the consent you gave when you subscribed to our press releases.

1.4 ASSA ABLOY processes the personal data listed in this section in order to follow up and send invitations to upcoming webcasts based on the consent you gave when registering for a webcast.

How and why does ASSA ABLOY use your personal data?

2.1 In addition to the purposes mentioned above, we use your personal data to administer and improve this website, for our internal records, for statistical analysis of website usage and (where applicable) to process your product orders and/or to contact you in relation to sales and as part of our customer care procedures.

Insofar as ASSA ABLOY uses personal data to improve this website or to analyse statistics, the basis for data collection is ASSA ABLOY's legitimate interest in carrying out such improvements and analyses. Since no sensitive personal data is processed and the processing is limited, ASSA ABLOY has concluded that its legitimate interest in carrying out the improvements and analyses takes precedence over your data protection interests. 


2.3 The personal data collected and processed in the context of communication with us is based on our legitimate interest in supporting our employees, clients and customers and ensuring traceability. Since you have provided the information voluntarily and the processing is limited, ASSA ABLOY has concluded that your data protection interests do not outweigh our legitimate interest.


2.4 The processing of your email address when you subscribe to our press releases is based on your consent. After you have entered your email address, you will receive a link to confirm your subscription.


2.5 The processing of your name and email address when you register for our webcasts is based on your consent. Your data will be stored for 60 days and then deleted.

Disclosure of personal data

3.1 For the purposes mentioned above, no personal data will be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA (European Economic Area).

 

3.2 The personal data collected and stored will be used exclusively by companies within the ASSA ABLOY Group, with the exception of the following cases in which we may disclose the data to third parties:

  • Webcast service: Visitors can enter their name and email address to participate in live webcasts.

How long does ASSA ABLOY store your personal data?

4.1 ASSA ABLOY stores personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the data was collected. This means that ASSA ABLOY will delete your personal data when it is no longer needed to process an enquiry or order, or to manage your account or our customer relationship. Anonymised statistics may be stored thereafter.

Information and access rights

5.1 You may request the correction or deletion of your personal data at any time. Please note, however, that deletion may result in ASSA ABLOY no longer being able to process enquiries or orders, or in your account being terminated. You have the right to request a copy of your personal data from our records. You have the right to request a restriction on the use of your personal data (e.g. if you believe the data to be incorrect) or the termination of the use of your personal data (e.g. with regard to the use of the data to improve the ASSA ABLOY website). You have the right to request the personal data used to process an order, manage your account or our customer relationship in a machine-readable format that you can transfer to another data controller.
